Chagall breathes new life into European bakery Ange

A transatlantic collaboration for a unique culinary experience

Chagall was delighted to collaborate with Ange Bakery to introduce their European bakery concept to Canada. Our mission was to create a space that is both welcoming and elegant, while meeting the operational requirements of the business.

A bold challenge: to sublimate the essence of a brand

When the renowned European company, Ange, called upon us for its expansion into the Canadian market, we understood the challenge: to create a space that captures the very essence of the brand while adapting to the expectations and codes of the new context.

Our holistic approach resulted in a space where every detail tells a story. Inspired by Ange's heritage and Canadian market trends, we developed a unique concept that blends tradition and modernity.

A perfect marriage of aesthetics and functionality

Designing a functional space that optimizes the customer experience and staff workflow was also a crucial element of the project. Chagall carefully studied the company's needs and designed a layout that allows staff to work efficiently while providing customers with a pleasant and convivial experience.

The presence of large windows was a challenge. To address this, suspended architectural drops were created to add volume to the space, provide a signature element, and integrate lighting in an elegant and functional way. In addition, an architectural halo-shaped element was added to recall the bakery's brand image.

Sustainable materials for a sustainable design

The selection of durable and easy-to-maintain materials was essential to ensure the longevity of the design. Chagall opted for high-quality materials that can withstand daily wear and tear and are easy to clean.

An international success

Chagall's interior design for Ange Bakery was a resounding success. The space is both elegant and functional, and it has helped to improve the customer experience and operational efficiency of the business. The concept was so well-received that it inspired Ange's owners to replicate the same design in their new branches in Europe.
