Hamel Cheese Shop, a beloved culinary institution, entrusted Chagall with the mission of creating its first boutique on Montreal's South Shore, in Boucherville. The challenge was to transform a small space into an elegant and welcoming gastronomic destination where customers could discover and savor exceptional cheeses and products from around the world.

Elegant and Functional Design for a Small Space

The main challenge of this project was to create an interior design that was both elegant and functional in a small space with a 16-foot ceiling height. It was also necessary to showcase Hamel Cheese Shop's fine products while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for customers.

Custom Displays for Optimal Product Enhancement

Custom displays were designed and manufactured to optimally showcase the products, taking into account the different ceiling heights. These displays created an attractive visual presentation and optimized the available space.

A Discovery Zone to Explore Cheeses

A discovery zone was created to encourage customers to explore the fromagerie's vast range of cheeses. This zone features a specialized refrigerator that keeps cheeses at the ideal temperature and signage integrated into the décor that presents the cheese shop's products and partnerships. Tables and shelves with red accents were added to highlight star products and promotions.
